Crème Coffee

Crème Coffee is located in downtown Sacramento across from the DOCO area. The storefront is beautiful with a classic European style exterior. It really is a great looking location that exudes a lot of class.

The interior is also beautiful and clean. I loved the decor around - it wasn’t heavy handed, but there were some interesting and unique items that were really cool to see. One of these items was the retro telephone they had right when you walk in. It was certainly a conversation starter and great for photos.

With a name like Crème, you’d expect their dairy to be top notch, and it is. I ordered the signature Crème Latte and it was as the name implied. The latte was topped with a beautiful thick layer or heavy, thick cream. I really enjoyed sipping the coffee and having the cream and coffee mix as I drank. It’s a superb experience and one you cannot get if you use a straw!

I wanted to get a matcha for my wife as she is a big matcha fan so I asked for a recommendation from the barista at the counter. She was extremely helpful and asked me questions that led me to the drink my wife would probably enjoy the most from their menu. She was great to talk to and gave me a lot of attention. Top marks for service here!

Besides coffee and tea, there is an entire kitchen menu and pastry line up that you can order from. I wanted to get a little taste of both so I went with a large carrot cake muffin that was practically calling my name as well as their Caprese toast.

The carrot cake was heavenly. The taste was on point and the cream filling was divine. I think I made the right choice when it came to my pastry pickup. I will, however, have to try their croissants on another visit because they also looked amazing.

My Caprese toast was also excellent. It did not take long to arrive and had a fresh taste to it. The tomatoes and cheese on it were bursting with flavor. I was surprised at just how much I enjoyed it. It was perfect for a little meal in the morning that leaned on the more savory side. If you’re looking for something with a little more fill, the bistro sandwich with turkey seems like it would hit the spot. Well, either that or the croissant Roulè!

Crème Coffee is yet another gem of a coffee shop in Sacramento. Recently I’ve been trying many of the places in town and they have continued to amaze me with their quality and uniqueness. Crème Coffee is very much worth a visit!
